So while we were cooking lunch, one of the ladies handed me this can and this knife and said "open it"- all while I'm trying to teach the kids how to use a knife safely. It worked in the end but not a great plan for can-opening.... I just keep thinking about all the homes in the US where moms are concerned about sharp edges on the cans. The moms cooking didn't seem too concerned about these sharp edges- as I'm repeatedly stabbing a knife into a tin can to open the lid (or their children's lack of safe knife skills).
