Baking Party

I had a housefull of teen girls over for a baking party today.  Schools are still on holiday this week so it is the perfect time to get all the girls together.    This is actually just Day 1. Day 2 is on Sunday, for all the girls who couldn't come today. Not sure if splitting this up between two days was the best plan but considering we used essentially ALL of the dishes my roommate and I own, maybe cooking over two days is a good idea! 

We made pizza- homemade dough with a homemade tomato, garlic, chipotle sauce- yummy!!!  That last part was totally impromptu.  We decided we wanted to try our own sauce and because several of the girls still weren't there, we just experimented with whatever sounded good on the spice shelf!  And since the other girls STILL weren't there once the sauce was done, we decided to make homemade cheater ice cream too.  Once the rest of the girls showed up, we put together the pizzas and then made pineapple coconut cake.   Oh and we also fit a Disney movie in there somewhere too.  The power went out just as we were going to put the pizzas in the oven, so we were forced to contemplate alternate cooking methods, but thankfully it came back 30 minutes later (which is WAY better then yesterday when power was out for 12 hours). 

So other then WAY too much sugar, the day was a complete success!  But how on earth did we use so many dishes????  Now to survive Day 2!
